Beautiful scenery around the resort.

The lodge was dirty and the hallways hadn't been cleaned. We struggled with the confusing layout and couldn't find the restaurant easily.

We got great value for our money at the hotel. The room was a little dated, but overall very nice. The location was perfect with beautiful flowers and abundant hiking trails. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

The breakfast choices could be improved by offering a wider variety of options.

Scenic location with great facilities. No resort fees and lots to explore like the pool, library, and zoo. Room was nice and recently redecorated. Gracious and accommodating staff.

Being disabled, I appreciated the ease of check-in and the helpful information provided about the resort. The staff at Glassworks bar were knowledgeable about local happenings and had a great selection of local brews. The room was clean and up to date, with a lovely lake view. The resort had everything we needed within walking distance or a short trolley ride.

I had a delightful stay at a charming and affordable property. The indoor pool was great, and the game room/lounge provided a cozy atmosphere with a fireplace and board games. The beds were comfortable, the towels and bath products were nice, and the TVs had lots of channels. The prices were very reasonable for what you get. I would love to return during the warmer months to enjoy the outdoor offerings. I highly recommend this hotel.

In an overnight getaway, I loved staying in this hotel nestled in the beautiful West Virginia hills. The location was simply breathtaking, with lush green surroundings and an abundance of deer roaming freely. The hotel facilities were excellent, offering a wide range of activities like the fantastic light show at Christmas and three top-notch golf courses. The cleanliness of the rooms was spotless, and the breakfast served was above average, with real scrambled eggs. The staff was friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

I had a fantastic stay at this place. The location is breathtakingly beautiful; situated at the top of a hill in a wooded area, with deer wandering around. The staff provided excellent services and amenities, including free toiletries, free Wi-Fi, and a garden terrace. The indoor pool, sauna, and hot tub were well maintained and provided a relaxing and enjoyable experience. I also appreciate the barbecue facilities and picnic tables; I think the hotel is perfect for families too.

We recently attended a family wedding at Oglebay Resort and had such a wonderful stay! The outdoor ceremony in the garden was stunning, and the cocktail hour on the lawn was a great way to start the celebration. The reception in Glessner Auditorium was beautiful, and the spacious cottage that some of our family rented was perfect for the rehearsal dinner. The lodge rooms were cozy with private outdoor areas, and the brunch at the restaurant was delicious. The grounds were well-maintained with beautiful flowers, and the coffee bar was a lovely perk. The glass blowing demonstration was fascinating, and we even spotted some deer on the property. a fantastic experience at Oglebay!

We loved the spacious rooms and the fireplace added a lovely touch. the food at the main dining room was outstanding, especially the prime filet steak. the buffet breakfast was a great convenience and had a variety of options to choose from. the staff was friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.

There were a few aspects that were disappointing. the check-in process took longer than expected, which delayed the start of our getaway.

If you're looking for an affordable hotel surrounded by nature, this one is perfect. The location is beautiful, up on a hill surrounded by trees. The deer were a lovely surprise! The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious with fireplaces and walkout patios. The breakfast was great!

We recently had a wonderful holiday experience with family at a resort in West Virginia. the colorful lights and decorations created a festive atmosphere that got us all into the holiday spirit. We enjoyed delicious meals at the Lodge and were impressed by the staff's courteous and friendly service. we appreciated the complimentary tickets for the Festival of Lights show, which was a highlight of our trip. we had a great time and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun-filled holiday getaway.
