The staff were also very friendly and accommodating, which definitely added to the overall experience. Now, on to the not-so-great parts. The room I initially booked wasn't the one I was given upon arrival, which was a bit disappointing. The cleanliness of the suite left much to be desired, the floors were pretty dirty, and mold growth in the bathroom was not a pleasant sight. Plus, we had issues with the heating and air conditioning, which made for some uncomfortable nights. One major concern was the maintenance of the property. The wooden walkway to the beach was falling apart, posing a safety hazard. The pool area was not well-maintained, with water quality concerns and unclean pool bathrooms. And let's not forget about the roaches, definitely not something you want to encounter during your stay. Despite these setbacks, I did appreciate the ample counter space in the suite and the friendly interactions with the staff. there are definitely areas that could use improvement, especially in terms of cleanliness, maintenance, and room amenities. I would say that Sugar Sands Beachfront has potential, but some serious updates and repairs are needed.

The friendly staff ensured I felt welcome and served up some of the best frozen drinks I've had in a while. It was a great way to unwind after a day of exploring nearby attractions like Pier Park and Conservation Park.
