great location and charm

This place has an awesome location and really nice public spaces. The lobby is super cute, and I loved the little breakfast treats like fresh blueberries and prosciutto. The room was clean and comfy, though it did get noisy from the lobby chatter and sounds from above. the breakfast could've offered a bit more variety.

The Hotel Portsmouth is a great option for anyone looking for a comfortable stay near restaurants and shops. The rooms are well furnished and have great amenities, like a huge tiled shower. The breakfast was yummy, with lovely pastries and some nice items offered.

This place is fantastic! The location was perfect - within walking distance to everything downtown had to offer. The staff was very friendly and pleasant to talk with, and the service was top-notch. The room was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and offered a great variety of choices. I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely come back again.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The location was perfect for walking to shops and restaurants, and we also appreciated the free on-site car park. The staff from the desk clerks were friendly and helpful, and the room amenities like the air conditioning and flat-screen TV were great. The bathroom had a shower that worked well and free toiletries were provided.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in a typical New England neighborhood. The staff was very courteous, and the hotel was very clean. The location was perfect - just outside of the town center but within walking distance of downtown. The best part was the comfortable bed, which made for a great night's sleep. The breakfast in the morning was lovely, and the hotel had a lot of little amenities like water bottles in the room and coffee and tea available throughout the day. The free parking was also a definite plus. a charming place to stay with great value and unique decor.

We had a wonderful family experience at The Hotel Portsmouth - Downtown. The top floor suite was perfect for us, with a separate room for the children and a comfortable king-size bed for us. The staff was extremely pleasant and the hotel was well-kept. We loved the location, as it was within walking distance to Strawbery Banke and downtown. Despite being in the heart of everything, it was surprisingly quiet.

Loved the modern interior and upbeat vibe. the spacious and well, equipped room was spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed and high, quality linen and towels. the location was excellent, within easy walking distance of everything in the center. Having plenty of onsite parking was a big plus, and the staff were friendly and helpful. the availability of tea, coffee, and snacks throughout the day was a nice touch.

The breakfast coffee was not hot, and there seemed to be a shortage of staff in the morning, causing delays in the breakfast room and at check, out. Another person was definitely needed to manage the workload.

The hotel where I stayed during the New Year was great. I loved the complimentary breakfast and snacks offered at the hotel. the location was also perfect, with everything just a short walking distance away. I really enjoyed the 24-hour coffee that was always available to grab.

The bathroom was a little small and lacked countertop space. However, this was not a significant issue and did not detract from my overall experience.
