What a surprise! This place is full of history and charm. The marble floors and antique furnishings create a unique atmosphere. The boat tour, managed by the park service, was a highlight, with stunning views of the river and an abundance of wildlife. The nearby nature park and hiking trails provided plenty of opportunities to explore and enjoy the outdoors. Definitely a great spot for nature lovers and history buffs.

There were a few letdowns during our stay. The service in the restaurant was incredibly slow, with not enough waiters to handle the demand.

There was nothing I didn't like.

We had the greatest visit as the lodge offered extremely comfortable accommodation in the middle of a sub-tropical paradise. The quality of the service and food served in the restaurant was impressive, and the Saturday night entertainment was a pleasant surprise. The hotel staff were all very friendly and a model of Southern hospitality, making our stay all the more enjoyable.

The restaurant could have provided more budget-friendly meal options. Some people don't like all the fancy stuff and the prices may not be in everyone's budget.
