The hotel's beautiful landscaping with a waterfall fountain, giant chess, and a fire place added to the overall charm and ambiance of the property. The staff at this hotel were very polite and professional, always acknowledging guests and providing a tour of the areas they planned to access. Their attention to detail was commendable.

I also appreciated the location of the inn, as it was within walking distance of the lake, a beautiful park, and several restaurants in town. the historical significance of the property added to the overall appeal of my stay, and I enjoyed learning about its past from the owners themselves. A warm welcome tray with a rose, water, and a sweet snack was a lovely touch that made my experience even more memorable.

The old schoolhouse theme was interesting and unique. Loved the old class photos and the fact that some of the rooms were named after former teachers. the staff was really friendly and helpful. the free beer during happy hour was a nice bonus. the location was great, within walking distance to the lake and other attractions.

The Halloween decorations were a bit overwhelming and made it feel like a haunted house. It was a bit freaky and uncomfortable.

One evening, there was even a delightful wine and cheese session downstairs, where guests could mingle and unwind. the inn is conveniently located close to all the attractions in town, making it easy to explore Coeur d'Alene. a great stay with a lot of character.

The made-to-order breakfast, from the greeting at arrival to the delicious meal itself, was cooked just for us and just the way we like it.
