The room was spacious and comfortable, with lovely high ceilings and huge windows that added charm to the historic hotel. The location was perfect, right in the heart of downtown, making it easy to walk to all the attractions. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome during our stay.

The morning meal could have been better with a wider variety of options.

Mind-blowing vintage vibes, breathtaking waterfront view, super clean and comfortable room. Jaw-droppingly giant windows and quirky bathroom sink. Free Wi-Fi, off-site car park, 24-hour reception, 24-hour security, flat-screen TV, fully equipped kitchen.

The Monarch Hotel was a delightful stay in downtown! The room with the balcony was pricey but well worth it. The hotel had great woodwork, high ceilings, and large windows with wood frames. The staff was incredibly professional and attentive. Mary, who also owns a native American art store in the lobby, was welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed coffee on the back deck with stunning views of Puget Sound.

This place has a prime downtown location, perfect for friends who enjoy going out at night. The old building is full of charm and character, with high ceilings and lovely windows. The room was spacious, like having three separate rooms. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the staff was super friendly.

Felt like in a fairy, no complaint.

The kitchenette in our room was a life-saver! We felt like master chefs in our mini culinary kingdom, whipping up delicious meals with the fridge, oven, and microwave like a boss. It was like having our very own Iron Chef battle, minus the pressure and secret ingredients.

Outdated furniture, small and cramped bathroom.

Perfect location downtown with many food options and a peek-a-boo view of the water from the room. the elegant and comfortable room was in a classic Victorian building with high ceilings and lovely windows, giving a charming, vintage vibe.

The water pressure wasn't great and it took a long time for the hot water in the sink. the stairs were a bit daunting as there was no elevator, making it a challenge, especially for older guests.

Great location, close to everything. Lovely room with a spacious deck overlooking the sea. Helpful staff ensured a clean pet-friendly room. Kitchen had pans and dishes, could use measuring cups and a mixing bowl. a beautiful stay.

For the price we paid, the value was excellent and the room was spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect, with great shops and restaurants nearby. The staff, especially Mary, was friendly and accommodating.

The only thing that could make the breakfast better would be more variety in the options available.

Almost perfect

We had a great experience at Monarch Hotel. Mary provided excellent service, accommodating our late check-in after 10pm due to ferry delays. The hotel itself had a charming, vintage feel with spacious rooms, high ceilings, and large windows that made us feel like we were stepping back in time. The location was perfect, as it was conveniently close to everything in town, including the boardwalk for morning walks. The comfortable beds and cleanliness of the hotel made our stay enjoyable. We would definitely return.
