The Wilderness Inn: Chalets is a great choice for families with children. The location is ideal, with popular attractions like Lake Placid, Whiteface Mountain, and High Falls Gorge nearby. The cabins are spacious and well-appointed, with full kitchens and 2 full bathrooms. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the cabin we stayed in was clean and comfortable.

Some of the room lights don't work, but the lamps provide sufficient lighting.

The value for money at Wilderness Inn: Chalets was excellent. The room was cozy and comfortable, with a woodstove and comfortable beds. The location was perfect, centrally located and surrounded by beautiful nature. The staff was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

The breakfast offerings could be improved.

The location of the hotel is ideal, nestled between Lake Placid and Wilmington. Guests have mentioned stunningly beautiful hiking trails along the Ausable River just minutes away and a perfect location for a family vacation. The cabins are described as clean, cozy, and sustainable.

The cozy chalets provide a secluded feel, while being conveniently located near restaurants and stores. The Cedar chalet offers a spacious and comfortable stay, complete with a fireplace for a cozy evening in. The mini fridge, Keurig machine, and microwave are added conveniences. The housekeeping staff is friendly and provides excellent service.

The shower head in the bathroom could use an upgrade.

We couldn't have asked for better value for our money. The room was cozy and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, close to Whiteface Mountain, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

We stayed at the Wilderness Inn: Chalets and had a fantastic experience! The cabin was gorgeous and spacious, with a classic rustic feel. We loved the wood burning fireplace and campfire pit. The Hemlock cabin we stayed in was beautiful and had a full kitchen, although we opted to dine at local restaurants. The owners were amazing to deal with, and the contactless check-in/check-out process was easy. The cabin was pet-friendly and had free wifi. We even decided to extend our stay because we were having such a great time. It was great value for our money, and we will definitely be back. I highly recommend this location for families, as we traveled with our young children and dog. The area was beautiful and the staff was top-notch!

From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the beauty and secluded nature of the chalet. the owners were incredibly attentive and made sure to stay in touch before and during my stay. the chalet itself was thoughtfully appointed with all the amenities one could need. Plus, the location was perfect, with easy access to hiking trails, recreational areas, and nearby attractions like the North Pole, Saranac Lake. I couldn't have asked for a more picturesque and relaxing getaway.

The outdoor atmosphere was amazing with the snow all around. the cabin itself was cozy and comfortable, with a nice fireplace to cozy up to at night. the spaciousness was a big plus, especially for a party of two. the cabin had all the necessary amenities, including a mini fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. We also enjoyed the fact that there were restaurants nearby, offering a variety of dining options. the location was also great, with attractions like Santa's Workshop and Adirondack Wildlife Refuge just a short drive away.

There were a few areas for improvement. the shower head could use an upgrade, as it was not as efficient as we would have liked.
