The hotel room was fairly clean. There was a long stand of hair in the bed when I pulled the covers back, but besides that, no other cleanliness complaints. the staff was super accommodating and friendly, from the front desk to the housekeeping team. They made my Christmas stay enjoyable. the free breakfast was amazing, with a great variety of options to choose from. It was a nice way to start the day.

The rooms are tiny and cramped, which made it difficult to move around comfortably. the walls are also thin, so I could hear everything happening in the neighboring rooms and even the street noise.

The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of the subway station, making it easy to venture into the city. The breakfast selection was also decent with plenty of muffins and cookies available. The room was fairly clean and well designed, with sufficient storage space for our luggage.

I had a great experience at Wingate. the staff at the front desk were very helpful and friendly, especially Joaslie. They made me feel welcome and stored my bags before I left. the room was impressive, utilizing the small space effectively. the shower was amazing and the bed was super comfortable. the soundproofing worked well, blocking out the noise from downstairs. the view from the room was also pleasant. the lighting in the room was practical and impressive, with small lights over the bed and a built-in light in the mirror. I had a comfortable stay and the staff made it even better.

The room was not without its issues. There were yellow stains on the sheets despite requesting a change, and the air conditioning broke down on two separate occasions, making the room unbearably hot.

Additionally, having breakfast included was a nice bonus.

I recently stayed at Wingate in the Bronx for a few nights during the Christmas season. Despite being more affordable than other hotels, it was a great choice. The location was convenient, with a short 15-minute subway ride from Grand Central. The hotel itself was modern and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming upon check-in. The rooms, although not spacious, were well laid out and nicely furnished. The unique bathroom design with slightly opaque glass added a touch of elegance. The water refill station was a nice addition, and the complimentary breakfast offered a good variety of options.

wingate was a delightful surprise during my stroll around nyc. the staff was incredibly friendly and the rooms were cozy and comfortable. i especially enjoyed the all-day free water fountain and the amazing assortment of breakfast options. exceeded all expectations.
