We had a wonderful stay at Wingate in room 302. Despite the slight issue with our door not automatically locking, the staff were amazing. The decorations were unique and pleasing, leaning towards the darker side. The bathroom was spacious, and the soundproofing exceeded our expectations. The large, clean and comfortable room made us feel right at home. The location was convenient, with several bars, restaurants, and stores within walking distance. The breakfast spread was fantastic, especially the delicious waffles. We would definitely stay here again, especially at the amazing discounted rate we got through the Genius program. It served as a great "home base" for exploring Caswell Beach, Oak Island, Fort Fisher, and Bald Head Island.

I had a great stay at this hotel! the location was fabulous - not too far from gas stations and restaurants in the area, and it was in a quiet area which is great for resting. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast served was delicious! The basic amenities provided were good, and my room was very spacious which made entertaining family really easy.

The cleanliness of the rooms was quite disappointing. the bathroom had multiple types of hair in the tub, mold, and black stains on the shower curtain.
