Great experience at Matilda Boutique Hotel & Spa. We booked a one day trip to Ninh Binh and an overnight cruise to Halong Bay through the hotel manager who was super helpful and friendly. The room was nice and the breakfast was very good. I'll definitely recommend this hotel.

The location is absolutely brilliant - right in the heart of the old quarter, allowing us to walk everywhere. The hotel's decision to provide glass bottles with filtered water in the rooms instead of plastic bottled water is really progressive and deserves a bravo! The bed was incredibly comfy, ensuring a good night's sleep. The room itself was spacious with a nice interior design. The shower was top-notch, providing a refreshing experience. We absolutely loved the sky bar, and even though it wasn't open during our stay, the staff went above and beyond by sending someone up to open it just for us so we could enjoy a drink with a view. Additionally, the breakfast options were okay, and the fact that they offer free beer is a definite plus. The hotel provides a great choice for any vacation or business trip with excellent room amenities, friendly staff, and a delightful breakfast. The team here is extremely enthusiastic and helpful, providing helpful information about local eateries and always taking care of guests in a considerate manner. The hotel easily earns its reputation as one of the best 4-star hotels in the old town. The location is unbeatable, right in the middle of all the shops and restaurants, a short walk to the lake. Highly recommended for a mind-blowing stay!

Safety boxes in rooms don't close properly.

The staff is so helpful, they literally assist with everything you need, like finding your lost keys at 3 AM. The food at Lotus Restaurant is like a culinary journey.to the hospital with food poisoning.

The safety features are great, especially when they wake you up in the middle of the night with a carbon monoxide scare.

Had an amazing Christmas vacation at a hotel in Hanoi. the staff was very friendly and accommodating, always welcoming us with a smile. the rooms were beautifully decorated, and the comfortable beds were perfect for a good night's sleep. the hotel's location was great, as we were able to easily explore the city and its famous attractions. the breakfast buffet had a large selection of freshly made Pho and Eggs to our liking.

That the rooms were tiny, and the bathroom layout was a bit inconvenient. the shower flooded the entire bathroom, leaving the toilet and sink area wet.
