The database exceeded my expectations in terms of peace, quiet, quality rooms, and space for thinking, working.

One minor drawback was the lack of access to fresh air. the only way to get fresh air in the room was by opening the windows onto the street, which could be a bit noisy at times.

Lake Inn - Ballarat is great for a short stay—the mattresses are hard, the birds are loud, and the plumbing gives a concert all night long. So, there are challenges! I nearly became a guest conductor! a fair enough spot if you have earplugs and like a hard bed. They listen to feedback and try to cater to your needs, which is a plus. My stay at Lake Inn - Ballarat was delightful. the spacious room, comfy bed, and excellent bathroom were highlights. the lack of natural light was a minor drawback, but the peaceful location near the lake and town made up for it. a pleasant experience with no major complaints.

The decorations in the hotel were charming and cozy, reminding me of my grandmother's lovely home. the sitting areas were comfortable and well, thought, out, making it easy for us seniors to relax and chat. the ground, floor room made it convenient for us with our luggage.

The children working there could improve by offering more assistance with luggage.

The proximity to the lake also meant that we could easily access the pub's smoking area located at the back of the pub, which was convenient for those who wanted to relax and enjoy a drink. The staff was friendly and welcoming, providing good customer service. the room was clean, well-maintained and equipped with essential amenities. the hotel's location was convenient, which made it easy to explore the surrounding attractions, restaurants and shops. the restaurant attached to the hotel offered delicious meals with good portion sizes. the hotel provided great soundproofing so we never heard other guests or any traffic.

Despite the enjoyable stay, the blanket throw on the bed needed cleaning as it appeared to have stains.
