I recently stayed at the charming and unique Metropole Guest House for a few nights. The staff displayed country courtesy and friendliness that you often don't find in the city. The accommodation, although small, was adequate for two people and the age of the building added a certain charm. The amenities, such as the library and entertainment room, were great and the hotel had a feeling of by-gone years. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was impeccable. The location was convenient, the bed was comfortable, and the value for money was excellent. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. a very happy experience and I will definitely book again.

This hotel is great value for money, with reasonable prices and attention to detail. It is diagonally opposite the Katoomba train station, making it incredibly convenient for travelers. The staff are friendly and the rooms have lovely decor throughout.

All was well during my stay.

We had an amazing weekend at a lovely, quaint, and comfortable older hotel. The building had lots of charm and character, with beautiful stained glass windows and period furniture. The room we stayed in was spacious and had all the amenities we needed, including a small fridge and a full bathroom. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the local area, giving us great recommendations and even making us a picnic lunch for our hiking day. The hotel was also conveniently located, just a 2-minute walk from the train station, making it easy for us to get around.

While we enjoyed our stay overall, there were a few minor downsides. The breakfast menu was the same every morning, which became a bit repetitive.

During my Christmas stay, I loved the unique and rustic charm of this guesthouse. It was a refreshing change from the typical chain hotels. The front desk service was limited, but the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and adequate, and the location downtown was perfect for exploring the area. I especially enjoyed the fact that the guesthouse was close to the hop-on bus for easy access to tours. the view of the park from my room was a delightful bonus.
