We absolutely loved our stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel. The location was perfect, just a short walk away from the waterfront and main street of this charming town. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home. The room was clean, quiet, and beautifully decorated with antique furnishings. We especially enjoyed the cozy fireplace and the lovely garden. In the evening, we were delighted to find complimentary port and cake waiting for us. It was such a thoughtful touch!

The B&B style accommodation was very nice, and the owners were super friendly and went out of their way to look after us. They helped us with washing and let us use their kitchen for our early start on our cycling journey. They even pointed out a great local pub for us. it was fantastic and we had a great time.

the water bubbler was frequently empty and not refilled. This became problematic as the tap water in the area was not drinkable, so we had to rely on finding fresh drinking water elsewhere or buying bottled water.

I especially enjoyed the cozy sitting room where I could relax with a slice of fruit cake and a glass of sherry or port in the evenings. Upon arrival, I noticed that the entryway could use some sprucing up. Although there were some lovely historic features, there was also a lot of clutter that made the space feel cramped.

Located close to the foreshore and main street, Victoria House is in a prime location near all amenities. The comfortable beds and tasty breakfast provided by the friendly hosts create a welcoming atmosphere. Guests can enjoy relaxing in the lounge room with a warm fire, sherry, and fruit cake, feeling transported back in time. The rooms have nice touches like bathrobes, mints, and filtered water, while the short walk to the beach, cafes.

The lighting in the lounge room could have been improved, but overall, it was a minor issue.
