The hostel was located in a lively area with plenty of nightlife and local atmosphere. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and offered helpful tips for the area. The courtyard seating area was well laid out, making it easy to socialize and meet new people. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the WiFi worked well. The hostel also organized fun nights out and trips for guests.

One staff member at night was rude and unhelpful, ignoring guest complaints and displaying immature behavior.

I stayed at Books for the first time and it exceeded my expectations. It's a great place for solo or group travelers, as everyone mixes in the bar before going out together. The staff were friendly and gave helpful tips. The courtyard seating area is well designed for socializing. The location is convenient for sightseeing and close to public transportation. The hostel is vibrant during carnival, with a fun atmosphere and organized group outings. The breakfast offered proper English & Irish tea, and even vegemite for the Aussies. I really loved my stay at Books!

I had an incredible time at a hostel in the heart of a vibrant city. The breakfast spread was amazing, with a variety of options to satisfy any palate. I especially loved the toastie maker, it was perfect for a quick and delicious bite before starting my day. The atmosphere was lively and sociable, making it easy to meet new people and have a great time. Plus, the location couldn't be better, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. I'll definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable stay.

The party atmosphere at this hostel is insane! There is always something fun going on and it's so easy to make friends. The bar/common area is a blast, with people from other hostels joining in on the party. The staff are amazing and they organize group outings to blocos and clubs. The location is super convenient, close to downtown and Lapa, with a supermarket, pizza place, and pharmacy nearby. The breakfast is delicious, with English & Irish tea and even vegemite for the Aussie guests. I had an absolute blast at this hostel!

One thing to note is that it can get pretty noisy, especially during the carnival season. If you're looking for a peaceful night's sleep, this might not be the best place for you.
