We had a fantastic stay at Vila Gale! the room was spacious and nicely furnished. the staff were friendly and helpful. the breakfast was excellent and the pool area was perfect for relaxing. the location was ideal, within walking distance of the Selarón steps and in a charming, historic part of the city. There were also great bars and restaurants nearby with very reasonable prices.

We recently stayed at a hidden gem in the heart of Rio, right next to the lively district of Lapa. Upon entering Vila Gale, we were amazed by the stunning inner yard and fantastic interior. the hotel boasts a fantastic pool, great beds, and an excellent conditioning system. the breakfast selection was outstanding, including prosecco for a slow, chillout brunch. the rooms were modern and clean, with a great shower. the hotel is also conveniently located, with easy access to St Tereze and Centro, as well as the rest of Rio via taxi or the metro.

During my Thanksgiving stay, I particularly enjoyed the complimentary welcome drink and the free Thanksgiving dinner provided by the hotel. the location was ideal, as it was in close proximity to various restaurants and bars. the room was spacious and clean, and the pool area was well-maintained and a great place for a swim.

the staff at the reception desk were not very friendly or helpful when I needed assistance with directions or recommendations for activities in the area.
