stayed here before, but lodge exceeded expectations during viewing northern lights. loved the private porch, beautiful outlook, and comfortable common room. eagles flying above and in front of us. definitely coming back!

the lodge was even better than our previous stay in alert bay. the hosts were amazing, ensuring we had everything we needed and making our trip perfect. the cozy bungalow and delicious breakfasts made our weekend unforgettable.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

The view from our balcony was breathtaking, overlooking the ocean and providing a peaceful atmosphere. the hosts were friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. the breakfast served to us was delicious and satisfying, giving us the energy we needed for our city exploration.

The sound insulation between the rooms was extremely poor, making it difficult to sleep at night due to the noise from the adjacent room. the beds were uncomfortable and caused us to wake up with sore backs in the morning.

There was nothing I didn't like.

We had a fantastic experience at the lodge. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm and cozy atmosphere. the lodge smelled like home-cooked meals and crackling wood fires, bringing back nostalgic memories. the owners, Paula and Pablo, were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Despite the kitchen not being officially open, Pablo prepared a delicious homemade meal for us. Our room was lovely, with a comfortable queen-size bed and a private balcony overlooking the ocean. the highlight of our stay was the amazing home-cooked breakfast before our departure. We truly enjoyed our time here and look forward to returning.

They were friendly, helpful, and provided a delicious breakfast. the location was great, with the bay just across the road and all the town's restaurants within walking distance. the lodge had a beautiful main hall that used to be a church, adding to the charm of the place.

The beds were a bit low and seemed to have worn out over time. This might pose a challenge for guests with mobility issues, like myself.

Convenient location, lodge-like charm, breathtaking water views, comfortable beds, great water pressure in showers. Met interesting people, non-touristy area, saw grizzly bears and orca whales. Gourmet restaurant on premises managed by fascinating individuals. Relaxing and calm atmosphere, opportunity to learn about First Nations traditions.

I had a cozy and perfect stay at Alert Bay Lodge. The hosts, Jenn and Giac, were friendly and welcoming. The log cabin feel of the rooms made them extra comfortable. The lodge itself had a beautiful fireplace-warmed common area with stunning views of the ocean and Vancouver Island. The homemade muffins and fruit in the morning were a nice touch. I had a peaceful and enjoyable experience at the lodge. I would definitely recommend it.

It was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. I loved being able to see eagles and whales right from the front deck, it was such a unique experience. the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the delicious breakfast they served was the perfect way to start the day.

The lack of sound barriers between rooms. I could hear every word and sound from the neighboring rooms, which made it a bit difficult to relax and have privacy.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lodge! The cozy and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. The common area was spacious and filled with natural light, offering breathtaking views of the water and mountains. Our room, although not roomy, was comfortable and clean. The homemade breakfasts were delicious and filling, using locally sourced ingredients. We also appreciated the covered outdoor patio in our room, providing a relaxing space to enjoy the waterfront views. we highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant and cozy getaway.
