I recently stayed at Johnston Canyon Lodge in a cozy cabin for 2 nights. The rustic resort was a refreshing change from upscale accommodations. The front desk staff went above and beyond, even bringing us towels and toilet paper. The cabin was clean and spacious, with a beautiful view of the river. We enjoyed the proximity to Banff and the canyon, which we could easily access on foot. The bistro had delicious food and the waiter was awesome. a very nice cabin experience.

Value for money was great, and the room had a charming old-world charm. The location was fantastic with beautiful mountain views, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The only thing that could've made breakfast better was if they had provided some simple condiments like cooking oil, salt, and pepper.

Great location between Banff and Lake Louise, perfect for exploring both areas easily. Cozy cabins nestled in the woods, providing a comfortable and romantic atmosphere. - Loved the fact that there was no internet and no cable television, it made it feel like a true escape from the city.

Only one key provided, inconvenient when wanting to explore separately. Check-in time of 4pm and check-out time of 11am felt a bit rushed, would have preferred a longer stay.

The porch with wooden chairs is perfect for relaxing with a book. The staff is friendly and the checking-in process is thorough. The restaurant offers reasonably priced meals with good options. The cabin's decorations perfectly complement the surrounding area, creating a true mountain getaway.

The service in the restaurant falls short. The waitstaff lacks customer service skills and there were issues with the food being served at the right temperature.

As foreign tourists, we loved the abundance of outdoor activities offered at the lodge. The location in the middle of nature was breathtaking, providing a perfect backdrop for hiking and exploring. The cabin itself was cozy and well-equipped with a comfortable bed, mini fridge, and coffee maker. We appreciated the ample supply of hot water and the gas stove which kept us warm. The staff was also accommodating, providing us with plates and flatware when we wanted to use the barbecue. the facilities and amenities offered a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

I recently stayed at Johnston Canyon Lodge in Alberta for a relaxing weekend getaway. The location was perfect, as it was away from the tourist crowds of Banff and Lake Louise, but still easily accessible to both. Being right on Johnston Canyon meant I could enjoy evening strolls to the lower and upper falls after the day trippers had left. The Bow Valley Parkway also provided great wildlife viewing opportunities, with the highlight being a wolf sighting. The on-site restaurant pleasantly surprised me with its delicious breakfast and dinner options.

We especially loved being able to have our dog with us on the patio at the restaurant. The staff was incredible, upgrading us to a beautiful cabin and making us feel so welcome. The cabins were clean and charming, with a comfortable bed and a little fireplace. The restaurant served delicious meals, including a fabulous grilled trout and burger. The location was perfect for hiking and exploring the gorgeous area.
