I recently stayed at a hotel in Fernie for 3 days of skiing before Christmas. The location was amazing, right on the Elk River. Compared to other hotels in the area, it had the most picturesque view. The room was comfortable and spotless, and the bathroom was clean with no stains or peeling carpets. The staff provided excellent service, especially the front desk. The continental breakfast was decent, and the parking was convenient for our truck and sled trailer.

The lack of a pool.

This hotel offers great value for money, with affordable prices and attention to detail throughout. The location, nestled in the mountains, provides a serene and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant experience. The rooms, especially those with 2 queen beds and cooking facilities, were comfortable and well-appointed. Additionally, the included breakfast provided a variety of options to start the day off right.

No major issues encountered during my stay.

The hotel's location close to downtown made it easy for us to explore the historic area. Additionally, being very close to Fernie mountain allowed us to have quick access to the ski hill. The continental breakfast provided by the hotel was a great start to our day, and we also enjoyed the option of having breakfast at the restaurant right next door. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and provided excellent service.

Nothing to dislike.

The noise from the busy highway nearby can be disruptive at times.

I was impressed with the value for the price, and the free continental breakfast looked delicious. The TV in the room was a newer HDTV, which was a nice touch.

The kitchen and lobby were well-designed and clean, and I really enjoyed the BBQ patio area. The location was great, right in the middle of downtown area, the ski hill, and Fernie Provincial Park. There were also nearby amenities like a Husky convenient store, Smitties, and DQ. The fact that the hotel is dog-friendly was also a positive aspect. I would highly recommend this hotel.

While my stay was generally positive, there were a few minor drawbacks. The room had a slight smell of humidity, which could have been alleviated by adjusting the AC or ventilation before guests arrive.
