As business guests, we loved the fantastic executive lounge, with fast and reliable wifi that even allowed access to usually blocked sites. Upgrading our room was well worth it to gain access to the lounge. The front desk staff, especially Mariah, made our stay warm and welcoming, going above and beyond by sending a bottle of bubbly for my birthday. It's definitely one of our favorite hotels in the world.

Felt more than at home, no complaint.

The food, gym, and pool facilities were excellent. Staff was friendly and responsive. The rooms were comfortable. The hotel was located in a good area for walking and had a fantastic view. The executive lounge was worth upgrading for, with fast and reliable wifi.

The hotel offered complimentary breakfast and a nice executive lounge. the location of the hotel was excellent, right in the heart of the city. the room was spacious and clean, providing a comfortable stay.

The hotel seemed to cater more towards a business clientele, lacking a vacation atmosphere. the initial room offered had a damp smell, but they did accommodate us by moving to a different room.

The location was ideal, with easy access to high-end shopping, museums, parks, and restaurants, all within walking distance. The hotel lobby on the 36th floor offered a stunning view, and the rooms were well-appointed and clean. The staff were patient and helpful, despite dealing with demanding guests. The amenities, including the executive lounge, were top-notch. we highly recommend this hotel.

I had an amazing time at the JW! The value for money was great and the room was top-notch. The location was central, with beautiful views and close to all major attractions. The staff, especially Mariah at the front desk, were friendly and welcoming.

Menu for breakfast could use some improvement.

My wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary at this hotel. The staff addressed us by name and were very attentive. The Corner Room had amazing views and the bathroom was unique with a full-size tub and glass shower. The hotel had multiple restaurants and bars to choose from, and the pool, gym, and jacuzzi were well-equipped and beautiful.

Couldn't recommend this hotel more!

I gotta say, worth every penny! The room was absolutely amazing - spacious, not like your typical cookie-cutter hotel room. And the view from the 52nd floor was just breathtaking! The location was perfect too, close to the metro station and within walking distance to the popular spots like Nanjing East Road and the Bund. The staff treated us like royalty, always addressing us by name and going above and beyond to help us out. Shoutout to Concierge Steve and Guest Services April - you guys were rockstars!

Now, don't get me wrong, the breakfast selection was nice at first with a variety of options. But it would have been great to see more variety on the subsequent days.

I recently stayed at JW in Shanghai for my birthday and had a fantastic time. The hotel's location is unbeatable, right on People's Square, making it easy to explore the city without needing taxis. The staff, especially Mariah at the front desk, were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and comfortable, with Nespresso machines as a nice touch. The pool, gym, and jacuzzi were well-equipped and the Marriott Cafe was my favorite dining option. a great experience.

During our romantic escape, we were delighted with the spacious and comfortable room that we were upgraded to. the separation between the bedroom and living room area with a large TV added a touch of luxury. Additionally, the buffet breakfast on the 38th floor offered a wide variety of delicious options, including cooked, to, order noodles and dim sum. We also enjoyed the convenience of the hotel's location, as it was within walking distance of many shopping areas and restaurants.

The hotel did not fulfill our special request for a champagne arrival to celebrate our anniversary, which left us feeling disappointed. Additionally, the hotel's parking policy was not guest, friendly, as we were not provided with sufficient parking time and had to pay extra.

The location is great for walking and not far from the Bund. The views from the room are fantastic, especially in the bathroom. The staff goes above and beyond and the executive lounge is nice. Good breakfast with variety.

Nothing, all excellent.

We loved the comfort of the bed, and the fact that the hotel had excellent internet, including access to Facebook and Google. The breakfast had a great choice of options, and we thoroughly enjoyed using the gym and swimming pool. The reception and lobby on the 38th floor gave a unique and impressive touch to our stay. The executive level even had a library and a balcony on the hotel roof, offering stunning views of the downtown area. The location was perfect, as it was close to the upscale shopping on Nanjing Road and the pedestrian mall, as well as other nearby Marriott hotels.

Can't fault anything about it.
