the staff at Casa Mara By Akel Hotels were very friendly and welcoming. I particularly appreciated this because I had heard that people in Cartagena can be unfriendly. the location was quiet and directly in Getsemani, making it convenient for exploring the area. the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. the hotel was also clean, and there was always someone at the reception desk 24/7. the hotel had a nice pool, which was a bonus.

This hotel located in the vibrant Getsemani district is close to everything but located on a quiet street with comfortable beds and good size bathroom in the far back on the upper level. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the basic amenities are well-maintained. Despite very limited options, the breakfast served is included in the price.

The value for money at this hotel is exceptional. It offers a great price for the quality of service and amenities provided. The location could not have been better, just a few steps beyond the lively party district, but situated on a mostly quiet, residential street. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located within a 10-minute walk from the walled city, allowing easy access to explore the old city of Cartagena.

The WiFi connection was not reliable and frequently disconnected, which was inconvenient, especially since it was also weak in some areas. the room was not as aesthetically pleasing as some of the other options available in the area.

The location of the hotel in the Getsemaní district was a major plus. It is situated on a quiet street, away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist spots, yet close enough to easily access the historic center. This allowed us to experience the charm of a traditional neighborhood while still being able to explore the popular attractions. Moreover, there were plenty of eating options available nearby, making it convenient for vegetarians and vegans to find suitable meals.

The staff at Casa Mara By Akel Hotels were incredibly friendly and helpful. They arranged transport for us and even added the charges to our hotel bill. The hotel itself is beautiful with climbing plants everywhere and a peaceful atmosphere. The small pool in the central courtyard was great for cooling off and catching some sun. Plus, the location is excellent, with nearby restaurants and major sights within walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great location, just a short walk from the old town and the action in Getsemani. The room was large and comfortable, with a tub, shower, TV, AC. The hotel provided excellent service, with friendly staff and a pool that was perfect for cooling off.

Our reservation for a 3-person room was not honored, and we were given a cramped 2-person room instead. The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful during our stay.
