The staff at this hotel was incredibly friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to provide assistance and make sure we had a comfortable stay. the rooms were clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment for our Easter vacation. the hotel offered a delicious breakfast that helped us start our day off right. We also appreciated the convenient location, as it was close to key attractions and transportation options.

The lack of hot water, which was a bit disappointing. we noticed some noise from roosters in the area, which occasionally made it difficult to sleep.

The hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms with great air conditioning. The staff is very helpful and friendly, providing sensational service. The location is convenient, just two blocks away from the town center. The breakfast is excellent and tailored to your preferences. Additionally, they assist in organizing tours and transportation, ensuring a hassle-free experience. The pool is a nice bonus for relaxation after exploring the desert.

the hotel is situated near the heart of town, making it easy to find. the staff, including owner Andres, were incredibly kind and welcoming. We were impressed that Andres spoke English, which made communication a breeze. He even went above and beyond by offering to get us takeout from a local restaurant and serving us fresh juice from the lemon trees in the backyard. the breakfast provided was delicious and filling, with eggs, fresh juice, coffee, fruit. the hotel itself was beautiful and exceptionally clean, and we appreciated the air conditioning, especially since Villavieja can get very hot. We highly recommend this hotel and hope to return in the future!

I had the pleasure of staying at a charming hotel in a lovely town near the desert. The staff at Colonial were incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. They even took care of my bags while I ventured into the desert and offered me a refreshing shower upon my return. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with a powerful cold shower that was perfect for refreshing after a day in the desert. The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from the main square, making it easy to explore the town. I had a fantastic experience at Colonial and would highly recommend it.

Although the hotel was wonderful, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. there was only a cold shower available, but this is common in Colombia.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was outstanding, with the most well-maintained space I have seen in Colombia. The hotel facilities were great, including a refreshing swimming pool to cool down in. The location was perfect, as it was only a short 10-minute drive to the Tatacoa desert. Additionally, the hotel had convenient parking and was within a 5-minute walk to restaurants and shops. The staff provided true VIP service, organizing transportation and tours, and giving great tips on where to eat.
