Mind-blowing hostel experience with an unbeatable social atmosphere, jaw-dropping rooftop picnic area for easy mingling, super-friendly and helpful staff, wow-worthy facilities including hot showers and comfy beds.

Good breakfast and clean facilities were a plus during my stay in Medellin over Christmas. the location was great, with plenty of places to chill and a rooftop terrace/bar that was the place to be each night. the staff were amazing and very helpful, creating a social atmosphere that made it easy to meet people.

The dorm room I stayed in was uncomfortably warm and stuffy, making it difficult to sleep, especially on a top bunk. the wifi was unreliable and didn't work most of the time, which was frustrating.

Purtroppo il parcheggio dell'hotel era troppo piccolo e siamo stati costretti a cercare un posto altrove, cosa non sempre facile in quella zona.

The rooftop bar was always buzzing with energy and it was the perfect place to meet new people. I loved the Christmas dinner where guests cooked and shared dishes from their home countries. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even better. The location was great, with plenty of places to relax and chill. And the breakfast provided everything I needed to start my day. I highly recommend this hostel for its social atmosphere and great vibes.

The hostel provided a great environment for my Netflix binge with clean, comfortable rooms and a social bar. The open space upstairs and big kitchen were a bonus. The location was convenient, close to a huge supermarket and a main strip of bars and restaurants. Despite not being a party hostel, the friendly atmosphere made it easy to meet nice people. The staff was helpful and the hostel was well-maintained with a decent amount of information on things to do. The dorms were not overcrowded.

I recently stayed at Purple Monkey in Medellin for a week-long trip. The public areas were really nice and there were free towels available. The showers had good space to place all my things and the staff were very friendly. The hostel is conveniently located just a few steps away from a local shop and a few squares away from a supermarket. Plus, the breakfast provided was delicious and there was a great space to enjoy it with others. I had a fantastic stay.

I had a fantastic stay at this hostel. The staff were incredibly helpful and gave me a comprehensive tour upon check-in. The hostel was clean and well-maintained, especially the warm and clean communal showers upstairs. The location was perfect, nestled in a nice and safe neighborhood close to a big grocery store. Additionally, it was conveniently located near the metro and on a quiet street with some restaurants nearby. The breakfast provided was great, with fresh fruits, toast, and the option to make your own eggs according to your preference.

Additionally, the rooms were clean and comfortable, perfect for a Netflix binge during my stay.

There wasn't much of an atmosphere beyond the bar area, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the lights in the toilets had a timer that was extremely short, making it challenging to finish your business in time.

The water pressure in the showers was decent, and the under bed lockers with power sockets were a clever and convenient feature. the hostel's location was key, being close to public transportation and in a sociable neighborhood.

The bunk beds were a bit shaky and made noise when moving around. , the rooms were smaller than they appeared in the photos.

I got great value for my money at Purple Monkey. The room was comfy with spacious lockers and convenient amenities like lights and sockets on each bed. The location was perfect with nice restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. The staff were super helpful and even let me store my bag all day and use the showers later in the evening.
