This hotel is in a great location, not far from the airport but secluded enough for a nice peaceful stay. It's situated in a beautiful neighborhood, down the road to the left in front of the zoo. The staff were very welcoming and the rooms were clean and lovely.

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable with a small patio. The pool was generous and refreshing, and the grounds were well-maintained. The breakfast was good with eggs cooked to order. The owner and staff were friendly and provided helpful tips for exploring the area.

The food at the restaurant was exceptional, and the complimentary breakfast provided a great start to the day. I also enjoyed the spacious swimming pool, although it was a bit chilly in December. Despite some minor inconveniences mentioned in other reviews, the helpfulness of the reception staff made up for any shortcomings. I highly recommend Hotel Martino Spa And Resort for a pleasant and enjoyable stay in Alajuela.

As a backpacker, I loved the tranquil location and the affordable bus ride to San Jose. The well-maintained property had beautiful walking grounds, a gorgeous pool, and a small gym and sauna. The inclusive breakfast offered fresh and delicious options. The restaurant, Focassia, had authentic Italian cuisine with impeccable staff. great value for money.

We had a beautiful romantic escape at this hotel. The grounds were stunning, with picturesque gardens surrounding the rooms. The pool was huge and clean, perfect for a refreshing swim. We also enjoyed the fact that the hotel was located close to the airport, making it convenient for our arrival and departure. Plus, being away from the busy city and streets added to the peaceful and relaxed atmosphere of our stay.

There were a few aspects that could be improved. The rooms themselves were a bit dated and had a musty smell.

the Italian-style hotel had beautiful grounds with a refreshing swimming pool and a variety of nesting birds and iguanas. the interior decoration was tasteful and the bed was comfortable. the staff were welcoming and even offered us a free room upgrade upon arrival. the villa we stayed in was spacious and had a kitchenette, making our stay very comfortable. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast with fresh fruit and friendly service. it was a great start to our Costa Rica journey.

The villa was spacious and had a nice living room and a fully equipped kitchenette. the free room upgrade was a pleasant surprise, especially after a long journey. the surrounding gardens and pool were beautiful, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.

The rooms were a bit outdated and in need of some renovations. the bed was quite noisy and the shower door was difficult to open and close.
