Some barstools at the restaurant were uncomfortable, which was a minor inconvenience for those who wanted to engage with the staff while sitting at the bar.

As young holiday goers, we loved the clean and well-groomed hotel with a nice layout. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the bed was very comfortable. The cafe served excellent food and the swimming pool was nice. We also enjoyed the short 5-minute walk to the beach for some fun in the sun.

We felt totally at home, nothing to complain about.

I absolutely loved staying at this hotel! The location was amazing, right by the beach in a national park where you can see nesting turtles. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Mirjana at the reception. They really made me feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure I had a great stay. The rooms were lovely, with personal belongings on display and all the basic amenities you need. Plus, breakfast was always included, and it was delicious with lots of options to choose from.

Our stay at Cantarana was fantastic! The tranquil environment and beautiful pool area made for a relaxing vacation. We loved the short walk to the beach, convenience store, and local restaurants. The staff, especially Mario, were exceptional and organized all of our excursions. The included breakfast was outstanding and the rooms were comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

I had a wonderful stay at a quaint hotel with friendly and helpful staff. the grounds were well-kept and the restaurant served delicious food. the location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach and other restaurants in the area. the rooms were clean and comfortable, with amenities like air conditioning and a ceiling fan. the hotel felt like a peaceful oasis, but Tamarindo was also easily accessible. my experience at Cantarana was like a different world from the bustling Tamarindo, and I truly felt at home.

I had such a wonderful stay at Cantarana! The staff was incredibly friendly and helped me with all of my needs. They even planned excursions for me at a moment's notice. The bungalow I stayed in was luxurious and beautifully furnished, with a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely outdoor seating area. The pool was small but perfect for a relaxing swim. Not to mention, the breakfast at the hotel was outstanding! I would highly recommend this peaceful retreat for anyone looking to experience the real Costa Rica.
