The location of the lodge was great, very close to a national park and with easy access to transportation. the staff were friendly and helpful, arranging transport for us and providing excellent service. the lodge itself was quiet and relaxing, perfect for unwinding after a long day. We also enjoyed the birdwatching opportunities, with feeders installed and a variety of birds easily visible from our breakfast table.

The food in the evening could be more varied. It would have been nice to have more options available.

Friendly staff at the front desk. Clean and comfortable rooms. Kids loved the small pool. Restaurant offers certain food which is ordered on arrival. Close to Crocodile Bridge for crocodile sightings.

Nothing, it is perfect.

The value for money was unbelievable - we paid less than 50 euros for a private room with a shower and a massive breakfast included for two people. The cleanliness of the room was excellent, and it was even cleaned and made up in the morning. The lodge is located right in jungle territory, which allowed for amazing wildlife sightings. We went for a long walk on the property to the birding/observation tower and enjoyed great views. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location was convenient for visiting nearby Carara National Park, just a 15-minute drive away.

Not one thing.

Excellent birding, beautiful landscaping, delicious food, helpful staff, spacious and clean room. Conveniently located near Carara National Park and Tarcoles river. Spectacular sunset and wildlife sightings. Enjoyed the pool and lookout point. Would stay again. Thank you!

The value for money at Cerro Lodge was excellent, and we were pleasantly surprised by the spacious and comfortable room with its unique outdoor bathroom. The location was beautiful, surrounded by tropical gardens and offering breathtaking views from the Mirador. The staff was friendly and accommodating, organizing transportation for us and ensuring a pleasant stay.

More breakfast choices would have made it even better.

This hotel is nestled deep in the jungle and has a stunning pool where you can refresh yourself with towels provided. The staff is friendly and attentive with a helpful guy named Juan. The rooms are comfortable with very cool private outside bathrooms next to the rooms. The breakfast is good with the usual items.

All was good, no complaints.

The hotel offers quick access to the main road, but still allows you to truly experience the true beauty of wildlife and nature. The rooms were clean and the AC worked well. The breakfast was excellent value at $10.

The lighting in the rooms was too dark to properly see into our luggage.

The location was great, close to Carrara National Park for an amazing wildlife experience. The view from the terrace of the restaurant was stunning, and the food was delicious. The pool was a bonus, and the rooms were clean and functional.

Not obvious to find.

Clean room, tropical garden bathroom, cool green lizard. Lovely pool and grounds. Saw howler monkey and beautiful birds. Smoothie on arrival. Delicious three-course dinner with drink for £12.

The lodge had spacious and beautiful rooms with comfortable beds and air conditioning. the staff was fantastic and the food was delicious, especially the Italian pizza. the lodge had a refreshing pool and a stunning view of the surrounding area. We also had the opportunity to see lots of beautiful birds, including Scarlet Macaws, right on the lodge grounds.

One downside was that the dorm room did not have a lock on the door, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. This could easily be fixed with a lock.

We loved watching scarlet macaws from the restaurant deck! Even though there were some bugs in the room, it was expected being in nature. Staff was friendly and the pool was enjoyable. we had a great experience at Cerro Lodge.

Hotel Cerro Lodge is conveniently located near the national park with the red macaws. It is also reasonably close to the main highway, making it a great base for an adventure trip. The rooms are clean and well-equipped, and the staff is friendly. The hotel offers a delicious breakfast and has a nice pool for a refreshing swim. Guests can enjoy watching birds from the terrace and even visit a birding tower with stunning views.

The Wi-Fi signal is weak in some parts of the room.
