As we stayed at the eco-lodge in the jungle, we were amazed by the perfect location for observing wildlife. the buffet-style food was delicious, with a variety of local ingredients. the staff was friendly and helpful, with language skills in Spanish, English, and a bit of German. They even offered a free jungle tour, which was a great experience. We also enjoyed the boat tour to an outlying village on the border of Nicaragua. the access to the lodge was easier than expected, with a fully sealed route 205 and a manageable unpaved road for the final stretch.

We had an incredible experience at this eco-lodge surrounded by beautiful rainforests. the staff were friendly and enthusiastic, and the lodge itself provided easy access to mature rainforest and diverse bird and animal sightings. the accommodations were comfortable, and during our stay, we had the lodge to ourselves, which made it even more special. the vulture hide and other activities offered were enjoyable, and we were amazed by the variety of birds we saw. the rain actually enhanced our birding experience, and we managed to capture stunning pictures. the chef prepared delicious meals, and overall, it was a great place for birding and relaxation.

They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, from guiding us on the trails to showing us different bird species. the restaurant served delicious meals made with local ingredients, and we especially loved the opportunity to photograph the birds during the feeding sessions. the lodge was surrounded by nature, providing a peaceful and serene atmosphere. it was a perfect spot for birdwatching and observing wildlife.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like 🙌.

Language barrier with the staff

During our Christmas stay, we absolutely loved the easy and wonderful birdwatching experience at the lodge. The variety of birds was simply amazing, and we were able to get stunning close-up pictures. The natural-looking feeders set up by the lodge brought in a wide range of colorful toucans, Aricaris, Great Currassows, Tanagers, and more. the rooms, although basic, were comfortable and provided plenty of outdoor seating with hammocks, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful views of the lake and forest.

That breakfast and dinner were not included in the accommodation price. The lodge is located in the middle of the forest, making it quite far away from the nearest town.

I had an amazing stay at this eco-lodge in Pital. Kurt and his team went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. From the friendly and enthusiastic staff to the stunning bird life and wildlife around the lodge, everything was perfect. the room was comfortable and spacious, and the beautiful birds were a photographer's dream. I appreciated being accommodated on the terrace for my birding photography. It truly was a special place.

I had a wonderful time at this eco-lodge surrounded by natural beauty. the staff were friendly and eager to please, and the grounds were stunning with beautiful blooming trees. the variety of habitats, including forests and lagoons, made for excellent birding and nature photography. We even spotted monkeys, reptiles, and an anteater. the deck area at the restaurant had a breathtaking view of the lagoon. the dinner served was delicious, and our rooms were simple but comfortable. it was a remote and peaceful setting perfect for nature lovers like me.

The hiking trails in the private rainforest were a great way to explore the area. Despite the remote location, the sounds of the birds woke me up every morning, creating a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. The boat tour to the border with Nicaragua was a memorable highlight, offering breathtaking views. The staff was friendly and always ready to assist. I highly recommend this eco-lodge for a unique and immersive nature experience.

We loved the remote setting and extensive grounds, offering a variety of habitats for birding and nature viewing. The deck area at the restaurant with views of the lagoon was fantastic. Canoeing on the lagoon and forest channels was a unique experience. Dinner was delicious and the staff, particularly Carlos and Michael, were excellent.

Loved exploring the area with hiking, canoeing, and boat tours. The accommodations were comfortable and the food was delicious. Free buffet breakfast, WiFi, and parking. Great for active travelers like myself.

Oh, and I just adored the long, rough road to get here. So much fun bouncing around in my car.
