The staff was very helpful and the bungalows were clean and spacious. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the beautiful beach. The restaurant had delicious food and the owner was an amazing chef. We also loved the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.

Loved my stay at Makanas Beach Bungalows Bed & Breakfast! The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The room was clean and comfortable, and I loved the little patio area with a hammock. The beach was just a minute walk away and provided the most beautiful sunset views. I highly recommend this place for a magical stay in Costa Rica.

The location of the bungalows was fantastic, as they were nestled right next to the beach. It was a short walk to the beautiful, secluded beach, away from the noise and hustle of the downtown area. Additionally, the staff was accommodating and responsive to messages, providing beach towels and ensuring a comfy bed.

The room was under-equipped for the price point. There were no amenities such as a safe or tea/coffee making facilities, and the internet was unreliable.

What a magical way to spend our New Year's trip! The food was delicious, and the staff were super friendly. We appreciated the complementary coffee and fresh fruit that was served every morning. The location was perfect – just a minute walk to the stunning beach, where we spent most of our days watching the surfers and enjoying the sun. The best part was having a big porch with a hammock to relax and watch the wildlife around us.

That we had to walk quite a bit to get to the town center. We didn't mind the walk during the day, but at night, the walk was a little too long.
