For a stopover on our way to the Pacific coast, we found a gem at Poza Blanca Lodge. the grounds were idyllic, and the Italian cuisine was exceptional. Children will love the ample space to play, including a playground and a small pool. Our room by the river was lovely, clean, and peaceful, offering great value for a relaxing stay.

I had an amazing stay at Poza Blanca Lodge! The food was beyond delicious—the chef truly knows their way around a pizza. The room was beautifully decorated, and I felt like a VIP with the extra decorations. The balcony had a breathtaking view, and the facilities were well-maintained. The pool, although small, was still enjoyable.

The shower had a drainage issue, but the bathroom was still nice. There was a weird smell initially, but it disappeared quickly.

The place was so much better than we expected. the scenery and cleanliness of the location were breathtaking, and the river was a great spot to relax and unwind. We also enjoyed watching the animals up close and personal. the chef's cooking was exceptionally delicious, and we also enjoyed the play area and swimming pool.

The noise from the construction workers was a low point early in the morning, and the slight plumbing issue in the bathroom was inconvenient.

The hotel is like a hidden garden oasis, with beautiful grounds and a lovely river nearby. The food at the Italian restaurant is amazing, especially the pizza. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well-furnished. The location is great for exploring the nearby area, including Jaco and La Fortuna. The staff is friendly and accommodating. a mind-blowing experience!

loved our weekend trip in san mateo! poza blanca lodge was even better this time. beautiful grounds, peaceful river sounds, and super clean rooms. breakfast was delicious too! definitely recommend!
