The location of the hotel is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and even the Arenal volcano in the distance. The cottages are spread out over a large area, providing ample privacy, and the main lodge has a captivating architectural design. The staff were exceptional, providing top-rate service and making guests feel at home. The breakfast options were delicious, offering a taste of typical Costa Rican cuisine.

The access road to the hotel is a bit rough and may require strong and thick tires.

The hotel is nestled in a picturesque rural setting, surrounded by lush green pastures. the cabins and glamping tents are well-spaced, offering great privacy. the family-run establishment is warm and friendly, always willing to provide insights about the surrounding area. the meals served were absolutely delicious, especially the abundant breakfast.

The uphill drive to the hotel can be steep and taxis from Ciudad Quesada might be required. Finally, the wind during the night can be quite noisy outside, so if you are a light sleeper, it's advisable to bring earplugs.

We had a truly relaxing and enjoyable stay at San Vicente Hideaway. The location, nestled in the highlands, provided stunning views and a chance to disconnect from everything. The family-run lodge offered us insights into daily farm life and served excellent food. The hikes in the nearby Castro Blanco Reserve were challenging but rewarding. Despite the long and stressful drive to reach the property, it was worth every second. we highly recommend this hidden gem in the mountains.

San Vicente Hideaway exceeded our expectations. Situated on top of a hill, the stunning views of the clouds and sunset were truly breathtaking. We loved the proximity to the volcano and waterfall hike, which was just steps away from our room. the hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering suggestions for nearby hot springs to soothe our tired muscles. the comfortable beds and in-room coffee table added to the overall enjoyment of our stay. the option to have dinner and lunch at the hostel with reasonable prices was also a great convenience. It was truly a remarkable experience, highly recommended.
