I stayed at Sunset Lodge for 3 nights and had a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even picking us up from the boat in heavy rain. The view from the terrace was breathtaking, with macaws flying by every day. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were clean and tidy, with daily housekeeping. I loved being surrounded by nature and seeing all the different bird species that visited.

Can recommend this hotel.

It was all superb.

The cabins had stunning views and were surrounded by beautiful nature. The restaurant at the lodge served excellent food, and we ended up eating there every night. They offered a great variety of choices for breakfast.

The steps up to the rooms were quite challenging, especially in the hot weather. Additionally, we were not aware that the cabins did not have air conditioning, which was a bit inconvenient.

We got great value for our money at Sunset Lodge! The room was basic but had everything we needed, including a hot shower and a comfortable bed. The location was fantastic, just a quick walk to the beach and a short stroll into town. The staff, especially Teresa, were incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed for a great stay.

Hotel breakfast could be improved with more variety.

I had the best time at this hotel! The views from my cabin were absolutely incredible. I felt like I was sleeping in a tree house with a comfortable bed and a hot shower. The sound of the ocean put me to sleep and waking up to the birds chirping was a beautiful experience. The sunsets over the hills were breathtaking, and watching the birds fly by was a sight to remember. The hotel also had a path that led to a restaurant, where I enjoyed a delicious breakfast a couple of times. The beach was just a short walk away, although there was a small river to cross. this hotel is a must-visit!

Our stay at the lodge was exceptional! The tico family who runs the property made us feel right at home. The lodges were stunning, with private decks and spacious rooms. We had all the amenities we needed, including a fridge and warm water shower. The grounds were well-maintained and filled with wildlife. The nearby family restaurant, El Tortugo, was the best in town, offering delicious meals with amazing views. The highlight of our trip was the friendly and attentive staff, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.

The view from our balcony was absolutely stunning! We were surrounded by nature and saw exotic birds like toucans and macaws. The electricity and wifi were surprisingly good, better than in other places we've stayed in Costa Rica. The location was convenient, not too far from the center. The food at the restaurant was amazing, especially the dinners. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They even arranged transportation for us from the boat to the hotel.

There were no bed sleeves provided and the mattress was a bit hard on the back. The lack of hot water for showers wasn't surprising considering the remote location.

We stayed at Sunset Lodge for 5 days and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The hosts, Raquel, Theresa, and Josue, were incredibly helpful and responsive. They helped us book our tours and made sure everything was taken care of. The cabin we stayed in had a breathtaking view and was spacious and comfortable. The restaurant owned by the family served amazing food and had an early breakfast option for those going on early tours. The property was perfect for bird watching and surrounded by beautiful nature. we had a fantastic and memorable stay at Sunset Lodge.

The updated bathroom was spotless, and the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. The room had a great view overlooking the atrium, adding to the pleasant ambiance. The hotel staff, from the friendly bellhop to the helpful check-in clerk, Rachel, went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Rachel even surprised us with special treats for our anniversary, making us feel truly valued. Additionally, the hotel's location was ideal, within walking distance to downtown attractions and businesses. the cleanliness, hotel facilities, location, and staff were top-notch.
