We had a fantastic experience staying at a guesthouse on a peaceful island in a local neighborhood, easily accessible by public ferry. The healthy breakfast, with homemade jam and bread, was a delightful start to our day. We also appreciated the access to a washing machine and the option to use the kitchen.

My recent stay at The Mango Guest House was a true oasis of tranquility. The beautifully built and maintained property, with its lovely garden, provided a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. The location in the Nubian village on Elephantine Island was fascinating. The room was exactly as depicted in their pictures and the WiFi worked well. The self-service on drinks and the option to order food made it convenient, and the laundry service was a bonus. The breakfast was great, and Mohamed made us feel very welcome. The friendly dogs added to the homely atmosphere. It was much better to stay here than in one of the expensive resorts. I highly recommend this hotel for a unique and authentic experience.

Though there were a few drawbacks, they were relatively manageable. The need to walk and take a ferry to reach the hotel could be slightly inconvenient, especially with luggage.

The Mango Guest House on Elephantine Island was truly a gem. The room was beautifully furnished and clean, with a lovely bathroom. The lush garden provided plenty of relaxing spaces for us to unwind. We loved the location in the middle of the island, surrounded by local life, and had a fantastic time exploring Elephantine Island and taking a boat tour to the Nubian Village.

A cozy place with great service. the staff was incredibly helpful with everything. We really appreciated the free Wi-Fi to keep in touch with home. Plus, the breakfast and dinner were delicious!

The shower needs to be improved, as there was no curtain and the bathroom got flooded. we weren't big fans of the private tour we booked through the hotel, as it wasn't that different from the shared tour in terms of stops and times.
