I recently stayed at this 4-star hotel and had a wonderful experience. The location, right by the lake, was absolutely stunning. I recently stayed at Scandic in Kuopio for a week during the hottest summer days, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The air conditioning in the spacious room was incredibly efficient, providing a cool and comfortable environment to return to each day. Despite a rock festival happening nearby, the room was quiet, and I had a peaceful sleep each night. The beds were comfy, the shower was powerful with ample hot water, and the breakfast selection was superb with no queuing. The lakeside setting and easy walk into town added to the overall charm of the hotel.

Great lake view from my quiet room. The breakfast had a variety of options, including American-style bacon and scrambled eggs. The hotel is located within a short walk to the harbor and city-center, and offers a swimming pool for guests to use.

The room cleanliness was not up to my standards, as glasses in the bathroom were dirty and the floor under the bed was not clean. The door to the room did not close properly, and the staff did not respond to requests to fix it.
