The cottage was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The owners were very friendly and accommodating, even providing fresh bread and croissants for breakfast. The location of the cottage was perfect for exploring the nearby Great War relics and monuments, and it was only an hour's drive from Calais.

The mugs in the kitchen were a bit small and there was no kettle available, so we had to boil water in a pan for a "proper cuppa. " the upstairs shower did not drain very well, which was a bit inconvenient.

High-quality fixtures and fittings, excellent breakfast with fresh croissants and baguettes, charming hosts. Spacious, contemporary, well-equipped accommodation in a beautiful village. Fantastic hosts, kids loved the horses. Self-contained 3 bed house/apartment with access to a main hotel. Enjoyed a bottle of Pouilly Fuisee on the terrace watching Dartmoor ponies.

I recently had a fantastic weekend exploring the historic sites of Flanders Fields. The hotel I stayed at was perfectly located, just an hour's drive from Calais and ideally situated for visiting the war graves and Ypres. The hotel itself was clean, beautifully decorated, and fitted out with modern amenities. The owners, who used to be bakers, provided a delicious continental breakfast with fresh bread and croissants. The smell of freshly baked goods in the morning was a delightful way to start the day. The friendly and attentive owners made my stay even more enjoyable.

While my overall experience was excellent, I did have a small inconvenience upon arrival. It was a particularly cold and icy day, and the hotel's parking area was like an ice skating rink.

The location of the hotel is absolutely stunning, as it is situated in a beautiful setting surrounded by fields. there are even ponies in the field right next to us, which added a charming touch to our stay. The room and bathroom were immaculate and very modern, providing a comfortable and pleasant experience. The service provided by the owners was friendly and attentive. The breakfast, made by a professional baker, was delicious and fresh. we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and proximity to the nearby WW1 battlefields.

The slightly soft pillows, which may not be to everyone's liking.
