We couldn't believe our luck when we arrived at this beautiful hotel! The stunning double height French windows in our room overlooked the river and old bridge. The hotel's impressive decor and friendly staff made our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend this place! I highly recommend this hotel for its breathtaking views and excellent service.

The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of the town, right by the bridge that crosses the beautiful river. You can enjoy the stunning view of the river from the hotel. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast buffet offers a variety of delicious options, including fresh orange juice. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms, although needing some updating, are clean. The hotel also has lovely outside spaces where you can relax and enjoy a drink.

Some parts of the bathroom may need attention, but this doesn't overshadow the overall positive experience.

The breakfast options were impressive and all the food was organic, made in nearby abbeys. the view from our room was very scenic as it overlooked a beautiful river. the hotel's location was great; we never had to travel too far to get where we wanted to go. the staff was friendly and very welcoming.

The bathroom was quite outdated and in need of repair. the shower was designed for someone who was below average in height and the shower screen leaked.

We stayed at the Abbaye for 7 days and were pleasantly surprised by an upgrade to a suite. The setting by the river and old town was inspiring, and the historic building had a magnificent feel. The staff, especially the head manager, were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was incredible with lots of healthy options and products sourced from monks and nuns. The location was great for exploring nearby castles and medieval cities.

The hotel, with its grand staircases and flagstone corridors, truly transports you back to the 12th century. the room, overlooking the river, was imposing and adorned with silk hangings. Despite the medieval ambiance, modern amenities like good WiFi and chilled Trappist beers on the terrace were available. the staff, both morning and evening, was friendly and helpful, always with a smile. the former abbey location, overlooking the Loire, added to the beautiful setting. the outdoor areas were pleasant, and free bicycles were provided upon request. the breakfast, with products made by nearby monks, was out of the ordinary and enjoyed while overlooking the river.
