I had a surprisingly pleasant stay at a 2-star hotel in Valence. The location was excellent, just a short walk from the train station and with a convenient garage for my car. The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful, which made a big difference to my first-time visit to the city. The street where the hotel is located was also very quiet at night. Despite being a budget-friendly option, the public spaces of the hotel were nicely updated. I also appreciated the nearby wood oven pizza restaurant, which offered delicious food at reasonable prices.

The room I stayed in was a bit outdated and smaller than expected, resembling the pictures that didn't quite match reality. Unfortunately, there were no shower curtains and the bed in the superior room was smaller than desirable.

The hotel's location near the train station is convenient for travelers and allows easy access to local restaurants and shops. The receptionist recommended a fantastic art deco brasserie nearby, where guests can enjoy a splendid dinner. the hotel is close to the city center, making it easy to explore the surrounding area.

Some of the rooms may be slightly noisy due to the hotel's proximity to the train station.

For the price we paid, we got great value and a comfortable room. The location of the hotel was perfect, just a few steps from the train station and in a quiet street. The staff at Les Negociants were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel at home in a new city.

Morning meal could have been improved with more variety.

I had the pleasure of encountering a delightful breakfast spread with a wide range of culinary masterpieces, such as the exotic trio of bananas, oranges, and apples. Truly a feast for the taste buds.

Oh, and let's not forget about the thrilling experience of hunting for parking in the nearby train station. So convenient, especially for those with limited mobility.
