I discovered later that the hotel had a dark history as it used to be a prison for Jews during WWII. This made me feel really uncomfortable and sorry for what happened.

The room was quite small, making it difficult to open suitcases and move around comfortably. It was disappointing that there were no tea or coffee facilities in the room and we were charged for ordering coffee and tea in the lounge area.

The van tour they recommended was excellent, allowing us to see multiple cities and villages in one day. The breakfast had many options and the room was air-conditioned and provided indoor slippers. The outdoor terrace bar was a lovely retreat from the busy streets of Nice.
