I recently stayed at La Lanterne Bed & Breakfast in Sarlat for 3 nights. The location was perfect, right in the historic center of town. The hosts, Jayne and Ian, were extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfasts in the courtyard were delicious, and the room and bathroom were beautifully renovated. The small balcony in The Courtyard room provided a wonderful view of the old town. I had a great experience and would highly recommend staying at La Lanterne.

Stayed at La Lanterne for 3 nights. We had breakfast each day which was very nice. The location is extremely good, being right in the centre of this medieval town. Consequently there is no parking available on site, the nearest free car parking is a good 5 minutes walk away, which was not a problem to us. The room we had was called the Wisteria room and it was really small, you could not have a smaller double room, it was I think the smallest of the 4 rooms on offer. The couple who live on site and manage the property were very pleasant. They were very helpful with restaurant suggestions and also places to visit. We would definitely choose this place to stay again and hope to get a larger room next time!

Stunning medieval building, friendly hosts, knowledgeable and passionate, helpful and advising, explained history well, beautifully presented breakfast.

The B&B is conveniently located in the heart of the historic center, making it easy to explore the beautiful medieval town and its surroundings. From the property, guests can easily walk to the nearby attractions and restaurants, immersing themselves in the rich history and culture of the region. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, providing a cozy and relaxing atmosphere for guests to unwind after a day of exploration. The breakfast served in the courtyard is delicious and satisfying, offering a variety of options to start the day right.

The parking facilities are limited, and guests may need to park their cars a short distance away from the property.

Beautifully decorated room and dining area. Helpful and welcoming hosts. Excellent location near the main street and cathedral. Friendly boxer dogs. Fantastic breakfasts. Can't wait to return.

As women traveling alone, we felt safe and comfortable at La Lanterne. The hosts were helpful and provided great restaurant recommendations.

Felt warm, but the hosts were attentive and willing to assist with anything we needed.
