I had the most amazing stay at a charming hotel right in the heart of the city. I booked two rooms, but to my surprise, we were upgraded to a suite that was absolutely amazing. The staff was incredibly helpful and even had special treats for our furry friend. The vintage opulence and central location made our stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this hotel.

Absolutely nothing.

The hotel's location right across the street from the cathedral and steps from the train station is perfect for older guests. The staff is courteous and attentive, and the rooms are luxurious, spacious, and spotless. The heated floors in the bathroom are a nice touch. The comfortable queen bed and delicious continental breakfast add to the overall great experience.

This centrally located hotel, just a stone's throw away from the world-famous Dom, is an ideal base for exploring Köln and its surroundings. Whether it's a leisurely walk across the road to the Dam, a visit to the picturesque Rhine and the old town, or a shopping spree in the pedestrian area, everything is within easy reach. The spacious and clean rooms offer a comfortable stay, with amenities such as a mini bar, complimentary drinks, and a coffee machine. The large, well-equipped bathrooms with robes, slippers, and separate shower make for a luxurious experience.

Some rooms on lower floors may experience street noise, which can disturb light sleepers.

The Excelsior Hotel Ernst in Cologne provided a truly exceptional experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and entertaining. The upgraded room was fabulous, with top-quality facilities. The location next to the cathedral was perfect, and we enjoyed the Taku restaurant. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and offered luxury amenities. a highly recommended choice for a memorable stay in Cologne.

Nothing, it is perfect.

The staff were incredible, always friendly and helpful. We especially loved the delicious breakfast and the fast WiFi. the location couldn't have been better, being close to everything we wanted to see and do in the city. We were able to easily explore and also have a quiet and peaceful stay. It was the perfect combination!

There were a couple of things that could have been better. the bed was a little too firm for our liking, and our room didn't have a great view.

The location right opposite the Cathedral - close walk to Rhine, old town, and shopping area. Cleanliness and facilities. Helpful staff.

During our stay at Excelsior Hotel Ernst, we were impressed by the exceptional service we received. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, providing us with helpful recommendations for dining and assisting us with our luggage. The location of the hotel was also fantastic, situated just steps away from the cathedral, metro, and city tour bus. We were able to easily explore the city thanks to its central position. Additionally, the breakfast at the hotel was divine, offering a variety of options including no pork choices like turkey bacon. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely big soaker tub in the bathroom and a super comfy pillow and duvet. we had a fantastic experience at Excelsior Hotel Ernst and would highly recommend it to others.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, right opposite the fabulous cathedral in the square out front. It was so convenient to be close to everything we needed to explore. The hotel facilities were top-notch, with spacious rooms that had very comfortable beds. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel special. They even provided little slippers and a lovely toy for our 6-year-old. The breakfast was delicious, and we particularly enjoyed the piano bar with live music in the evening. this hotel provided a 5-star experience that was totally worth it.

Nothing not too like.

Great staff, spacious rooms with comfy beds. The little spa on top floor is a plus. Piano bar with live music was a highlight. Lovely atmosphere and tasty tea. Super worth it, we will return.
