We had a wonderful stay at the Goldener Hecht. the hotel's location in the center of the old town is perfect, with the castle and underground park nearby. It only took us 5 minutes to walk to the metro station. the charming old style furnishings added to the overall ambiance, and the breakfast rooms were small and pretty. the generous continental breakfast offered a great selection of fresh fruit, cheese, and bread. the hotel also made appropriate parking arrangements, which was a big plus in a town with limited parking options. it was a fantastic experience staying in the historic town of Heidelberg.

Secondly, its location near the Alte Brucke is simply unbeatable, providing stunning views onto the Old Bridge. We found the room to be quite noisy in the morning due to the busy street outside, which made it difficult to sleep in. the curtains were not very effective at blocking the early morning light, which meant we were up with the sunrise.
