The location of Bay Hotel & Apartments was fantastic, just a short 3-minute walk to the beach. The room I stayed in had a nice view from the balcony and it was clean and well-maintained. The pool area and restaurant were also very nice. The car park was convenient for those who had a vehicle. Despite a few drawbacks, overall I would recommend this hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the room at Matala Bay Hotel & Apartments. The pool area was clean and inviting, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. I also loved the convenience of being just 500 meters away from the famous hippie beach, although I had to be careful on the pebble beach without shoes. The availability of caves to explore added a sense of adventure to my stay. It was a nice touch that my room was ready two hours before the scheduled check-in time, and the option for a late check-out was greatly appreciated. Having parking and an ATM right in front of the hotel made things very convenient. The recommendation for beachside restaurants and self-service for buying raki was helpful.

I did experience a couple of drawbacks. The room was in need of renovations, with a broken bed and shower cabin.

The location is fantastic, with a balcony that offers breathtaking views of the mountains. After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the pool area, you can easily explore the nearby caves of Matala. The room is spacious and comfortable, with all the necessary services. The bathroom is clean and well-equipped. The staff provides excellent service, ensuring a pleasant stay.

Although the balcony is wonderful, it could use some refurbishment to enhance its appearance.

We had a fantastic stay at a hotel conveniently located near the festival. The rooms were comfortable with clean bathrooms and lovely balconies. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service. The breakfast was tasty and offered a good selection. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the mountain from our balcony. Additionally, the hotel had a great pool area and reasonably priced pool bar and snacks.

The beach, although within walking distance, was overcrowded and finding a sunbed was a challenge.

The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and was delicious. Additionally, the location was perfect, only a short 5-minute walk from the beach but away from the noisy town center.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the bathroom was old and shabby. the shower was tiny and had a shower curtain that wasn't hygienic.

I recently had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Crete. The location was ideal, being just a short 300m walk from the beautiful beach. The rooms were absolutely stunning, with a fresh and modern renovation. They were kept impeccably clean, and we were provided with fresh towels daily. I especially loved the terrace in our room, which offered a lovely view over the swimming pool. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always available when we needed assistance. The hotel also had two bars, where we enjoyed some delicious cocktails, including a fantastic Mojito. Additionally, the breakfast was very rich and satisfying, ensuring we started our days on a high note. I can't wait to visit this hotel again!

All in all, everything was perfectly fine during our stay.

We were pleasantly surprised by the value for money we got, especially with the included breakfast. the food was delicious and there was a great variety to choose from. We also found the gentleman working in the breakfast restaurant to be very pleasant and helpful. the pool was a decent size and well-maintained, providing a refreshing escape from the summer heat. we were super happy with our experience, including the fast and cheap laundry service.

We were delighted to be upgraded to a better room upon arrival at Matala Bay Hotel & Apartments. The staff was friendly and professional throughout our stay. The hotel itself was modern and clean, offering a great atmosphere. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the large pool and well-maintained garden provided a lovely spot to relax. We also appreciated the availability of board games and table tennis for entertainment. The reliable internet connection was a huge bonus for those who need to work while traveling. we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this hotel.
