Waking up to the stunning views of Lake Peten Itzá was pure bliss! The breakfast was a delicious start to every day, especially the delightful pancakes. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, making the stay feel so welcoming.

i really enjoyed my stay at casona del lago. the staff was super accommodating and made me feel right at home. the hotel is clean and just a short tuc-tuc ride away from the bridge. the pool is lovely, and i appreciated the hot tub—it was a nice touch!

the bed linens were a bit yellowish and seemed not so clean, which was just lovely. also, I was underwhelmed to find that there was no complimentary spa or pool service to pamper me during my stay. I almost considered giving a good review, but nope, not this time. we deserve better than this, don't we?

The location by the lake is stunning, just a quick walk over to the island. The brekkie was solid, especially the a la carte options—really hit the spot! Staff were friendly, feeling like a proper family vibe, always keen to help.

The shower pressure was a bit of a letdown, not the best after a long day exploring, but we made it work.

The hotel is super clean and just a hop away from the bridge to the island. The lovely pool and common area on the second floor are adorable spots to just chill. Trust me, it's miles better than those cramped island hotels!

However, don't get too excited about the restaurant. it’s more 'let's pretend we’re fancy' than actual fine dining. Also, I was nearly charged for having an extra guest—like I’m running a little hostel here!

Flores was a delight! I savored every bite of the fantastic local tacos right across the street from the hotel. The view of Lake Ineo was simply breathtaking, and the pool was a refreshing oasis after a hot day exploring Tikal.

Our spacious room had a lovely balcony view 🌅. The staff were incredibly accommodating, even adapting breakfast for my husband 😊. Great spot to unwind after Tikal!
