The staff was incredibly welcoming and offered us tea and coffee. The house itself was cozy, and we felt at home. The hotel had two kitchens, one small and one bigger, which was very convenient. The location was beautiful, situated in a stunning valley with mountains and a river. The staff, especially Halla, were incredibly helpful and friendly. the best aspects of this hotel were the cleanliness, facilities, location, and staff.

I had a fantastic experience at the hidden Fossardalur Guesthouse in East Iceland. It is set in a real Icelandic house with beautiful surroundings and stunning waterfalls nearby. The campsite is clean and well-maintained with good facilities, including well-equipped kitchens and plenty of toilets and showers. The hostess, who grew up on the farm, was incredibly friendly and shared fascinating stories about the area and sheep farming. I even had the chance to buy some knitted sweaters at a great price. it was a safe, clean, and enjoyable stay.

The guesthouse also provided Wi-Fi, although there was no phone connection. it was a great place to stay for a night or two, with beautiful Icelandic horses nearby and easy access to the main road.

We had a great stay at Fossardalur Guesthouse. The friendly hostess checked us in quickly and we found our room to be comfortable with three single beds. The shared bathroom was a bit old and rusted, but it served its purpose. The location was perfect for exploring the golden circle and the black church, and we even got to see beautiful Icelandic horses right next to the hotel. The hostel itself was clean and had two kitchens. Our host, Halla, was very helpful and made our stay even better.

All was perfect, no complaints. 😊
