Traveling through Iceland, I stayed at a cozy spot for one night. the guesthouse surprised me with a guest fridge and microwave, making food storage easy. the comfortable bed was a pleasant surprise, offering a good night's sleep. the scenery around the guesthouse was truly breathtaking, providing a peaceful atmosphere.

It's a peaceful spot, perfect for unwinding after long hikes. the only downside was the quirky rule about taking off our shoes—it did feel a bit like Grandma's house! Overall, a cozy and budget-friendly stay near beautiful natural attractions. A great choice for adventurers like me from the Emerald Isle!

What a great New Year's getaway! the location was perfect, right by the Ring road and easily accessible. the room was spacious, clean, and had all the essentials. the staff went above and beyond, preparing a delicious dinner even though we arrived late. And let me tell you about breakfast - homemade marmalade in four different flavors! the peaceful setting near the sea was just what we needed.

On the downside, the service could have been a bit more attentive for the price. It was a bit of a letdown that the room setup was impractical, with the bed blocking the way.

Guesthouse Vellir offered serene surroundings near Vik. the rooms were clean with views of the property, comfy beds, and included tea and coffee. the owner was accommodating, allowing an early check-out for our glacier hike.
