We were also impressed by the spaciousness of the rooms, exceeding the usual norm in Iceland. the hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, providing extra pillows and amenities upon request. the wheelchair accessible bathroom and changing table in the WC were thoughtful touches. the hot tubs were a relaxing treat after a long day, and the on-site restaurant served solid meals.

We loved watching the changing colors of the sky from the big windows in our huge, super clean room. The remote location made it feel like a nature spa and the nearby town of Hvammstangi was picturesque. we highly recommend this place!

I had to avoid a snow storm in Akureyri and pushed on to this gem of a hotel. What a find! Located in the middle of nowhere, unless you are fishing, this new hotel is awesome! Great rooms, furnishings, and amenities. The in-house restaurant and bar are fantastic for dinner, and the breakfast is absolutely delicious. Highest recommendation in every category. And, it's underpriced.

Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.
