We stayed at a lovely cottage at Istay Cottages and had a great experience. the location was perfect for viewing the aurora and it was just a short drive to the airport. the cottage was equipped with everything we needed, including a large communal kitchen and dining area. the grocery shop nearby was a convenient bonus. Our cottage had comfortable beds, a sofa bed, and a private bathroom with a shower. the owner was also very accommodating, meeting us for an early check-in.

We were pleasantly surprised when we got upgraded from a cottage to a bungalow at Istay Cottages. The brand-new bungalows were set in a beautiful setting and had all the necessary items. The well-equipped kitchen and modern and cozy general room made our stay comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and the WIFI worked well. We also appreciated the close proximity to the airport and a supermarket just a 5-minute walk away. we had a wonderful stay and can't wait to come back.

We stayed at the cottages and had a fantastic experience. the surroundings were beautiful, with a peaceful and geothermic atmosphere. the cottages themselves were modern, stylish, and had a Scandinavian touch. Our cottage was warm, cozy, and welcoming, with comfortable beds. the showers were excellent and the common areas were modern and well-furnished. Check-in was fast and easy with key boxes. It's the perfect place to stay when arriving or leaving, as it's just 10 minutes away from the airport. it was the best place we stayed at during our entire week in Iceland.

Stayed at Istay Cottages for one night before an early flight. Convenient location near Keflavik airport. Found a great seafood restaurant nearby. Well-equipped communal kitchen for cooking meals. Clean and comfortable cottage with a great shower. Beautiful property. Will definitely stay here again when visiting the Reykjanes Peninsula.

We had an exceptional experience at Istay Cottages. Hjördís was incredibly responsive and helpful before our arrival, and Jonas went above and beyond by picking us up from the airport late at night. They recommended a nearby swimming pool, which turned out to be amazing. We felt incredibly lucky to have stayed at this place and highly recommend it. The accommodations were tasteful and contemporary, and the scenery was breathtaking. The location near Keflavik airport and local attractions was a huge plus. We also loved the free access to the swimming pool, hot tub, water slide, and sauna. we had a fantastic stay and hope to return one day.

The WiFi signal in our cabin was weak, making it difficult to stream Netflix. Additionally, the separate bathrooms outside the cottage were not ideal in terms of convenience, especially when it was chilly.

The cottage was a decent size and very clean. The beds were comfortable, and the communal kitchen was well-stocked and convenient to use. The location of the hotel was great, as it was close to the airport and easy to get around by vehicle. Another advantage was the free access to the local swimming pool and jacuzzi, which was a nice way to relax after a day of exploring.

The price of the accommodations was a bit expensive compared to international standards, although it was still a good deal for Iceland. One negative aspect was that the room didn't have a room darkening shade over the door, so it was quite bright and made it challenging to sleep.

The noise from the adjacent recreational vehicle camper site, which could be quite noisy. the separate bathrooms outside the cottages were a bit inconvenient, especially when walking back from the shower in chilly weather.

We had a very pleasant stay at a great little property in a quiet location. The double bed mattress and bedlinen were the best we've ever experienced. The kitchen and facilities in the main house were perfect for self catering. We also appreciated the telephone number for the local taxi for our early departure to the airport. Despite a couple of minor downsides such as the lack of a proper oven/hob in the kitchen and no available TV channels in our cabin, we still had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The common area was immaculate and the refrigerator well stocked. The owner was accommodating when we arrived early and the shower and toilet facilities were clean and modern. The shared kitchen was spacious and well maintained. The property's quiet location outside of the city provided a peaceful atmosphere, and it was also conveniently close to the airport. we had a great experience and would highly recommend staying here.
