Despite our initial doubts from previous reviews, we found the accommodation to be clean and newly renovated. the owners have clearly put in a lot of work to improve the place. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and enjoyed a delicious breakfast buffet with a beautiful sea view. the location was convenient, only a 3-minute drive from Troll Expedition's meeting point for the glacial hike. the common area was equipped with a fridge and water boiler, and the modern, spacious shower toilet felt luxurious. our room was great, with a comfortable bed and the added convenience of a sink. We had a lovely stay, thanks to the friendly and accommodating host.

The seating area was so uncomfortable that I had to pretend I had a sudden yoga obsession just to find a comfortable position.

We recently stayed at a self-catering cottage near Skaftafell and had a great experience. the cottage, located in midway between the glacier lagoons and Skaftafell national park, was comfortable and clean. the kitchen was adequately equipped and the rooms were spacious, including a nice living room. the location of the cottage provided lovely views of the mountains and waterfalls. the facilities were in good condition, and we were able to sleep comfortably. we had the bonus of watching ponies being herded onto the hillside. we would recommend this place as a convenient and enjoyable overnight stop.

The recently remodeled bathrooms were clean and convenient, with a sink in each room and separate toilet and shower facilities. The hotel's location was perfect for Northern Lights viewing, as there was no light pollution in this remote area. The owner had thoughtfully provided extra charging stations in each room and served a delicious traditional breakfast in a spacious dining room. Additionally, we loved that the hotel was situated on a farm, with sheep roaming around and a quiet and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel was also conveniently located close to the camp of Troll Expeditions for glacier hiking.
