The location was a bit out of the way, which meant long commutes to central Kolkata. experienced a scammy taxi driver who tried overcharging us.

While the high bath and lack of cleaning service were minor drawbacks, the staff's kindness and the tranquil ambiance made my visit memorable. Its central location allowed easy access to Park Street, Princes Ghat, Chinatown, and New Market. the food served was extraordinarily delectable, reflecting the essence of Calcutta's culinary heritage. the property felt like a boutique hotel, with thoughtfully curated interiors that added to the overall experience.

It was an incredible experience filled with warm hospitality, comfortable rooms, and superb customer service. the decor was brilliant, the beds were comfy, and the rooms were decently sized with fully functional appliances like a TV and AC. the staff was always attentive and kind, making me feel welcome throughout my 14-day stay. the breakfast selection was delightful, offering both Indian and continental options, and the rooftop chill-out space was a perfect spot to relax. I also had the opportunity to take part in Calcutta Walks, an amazing guided tour that allowed me to explore the city's history and culture. Calcutta Bungalow provided a unique and memorable stay in Kolkata, and I'm definitely planning to return.

I stayed at the charming Calcutta Bungalow for a few days and it was a perfect way to experience the vibrant vibe of the city. The decor, food, and sandalwood smell all hit the right notes, creating an authentic Bengali ambiance. The meticulously designed rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff was truly exceptional. I especially want to mention Kheya, Anjali, Wasim, and Manoranjan for their outstanding hospitality. The location was also great, allowing for enjoyable early morning walks and easy access to Deshbandhu Park for a delicious puchka/golgappa treat.

the staff at the Calcutta Bungalow were incredibly friendly, always smiling, and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. the attention to detail in the building was outstanding, creating a cozy and home-like atmosphere. the rooms were beautifully decorated with kantha quilts, adding to the old-world charm. the hotel manager, Rikya, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, making our stay even more enjoyable. the personal touch of the hotel was definitely the missing ingredient from most hotels.
