We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was impeccable, with the toilets always being spotless. The hotel facilities were top-notch, especially the pool with its stunning sea view. We loved lounging on the beanbags and chairs/benches provided in the tents by the beach. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel at home, always going above and beyond to make us laugh and engage in conversation. Additionally, the location was perfect, right in front of the best spot for sunrise on the whole island.

What a journey it’s been! Planned on staying for 5 nights, ended up extending it to 20 - the longest guests of all time. The team at Mad Monkey made it all worth it. From the lovely Stampy and his big heart, to Scotty-Pops and his breakfast club, and the warm smile of Andi, they all made our stay special. The facilities were the best and cleanest we've seen at any hostel. The night time activities were insane and the pool party was a blast. The beach-front location with the perfect sunset view was just stunning. We felt safe the entire time and the staff handled any incident with calm efficiency. Mad Monkey is the perfect balance of partying and relaxing. Can't say enough about the awesome reps and their positive energy. Quite possibly the perfect hostel.

My recent stay at Mad Monkey was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and a friendly atmosphere. The location of the hostel was perfect, with stunning beach views and beautiful sunsets. The open plan bar overlooking the ocean was a great spot to relax and take in the view. The staff, especially Budi and Andi, were amazing, always ensuring that everyone was having a great time. The hostel offered a variety of activities and events, such as pool parties and game nights, which made it easy to meet new people and have a fantastic time. The bathrooms were clean and spacious, and there were plenty of facilities to accommodate everyone. While there were a few minor drawbacks, such as limited breakfast options and a small inconvenience with the tents, overall, I would highly recommend Mad Monkey for an unforgettable stay on Gili Trawangan.

This hotel is a truly pleasant experience. the exclusive amenities like the outdoor saltwater pool with a breathtaking view and access to the beachfront are truly luxurious. the sun terrace is a perfect spot to relax while enjoying entertainment and drinks from the poolside snack bar. the room advantages, which include private facilities, are simply amazing. the restaurant and bar/lounge area, on the other hand, offer exquisite delicacies and carefully crafted cocktails.

The only minor complaint we had was the location. While it is still convenient, it is a bit further away from the main attractions, but the hotel makes it easy to rent bikes.

New Year's at this hotel was a memorable experience. the facilities are great, with a large pool and entertaining pool-side games. the available activities in the evening are worth it. the location also offers access to beautiful beaches and scenic bike rides around the area.

One downside is that the hotel is quite far from the harbor, and the only mode of transportation is by bike or horse cart. the roads leading up to the hotel also need improvement.

The dorm rooms at this hostel were clean and spacious, with comfortable single non-bunk beds. During the day, you could enjoy the peaceful location, away from the hustle and bustle of the main road city. The bathrooms were always well-maintained, and the staff provided excellent service. the hostel offered a great breakfast selection and had a stunning view of the surrounding area.

Incredible sunset location, with a beach-front hostel. The private teepees were comfortable and well-equipped, with universal plug-ins and a large fan. The infinity pool was right on the beach, offering a great place to relax and soak up the view. The friendly staff made me feel safe and welcome throughout my stay. The kitchen was accommodating to my allergies and the clean bathrooms were well-lit and conveniently located.

The presence of mosquitoes, which is not the hotel's fault. It would have been helpful if they had candles or other bug repellents available.

We had an amazing stay at Mad Monkey on Gili Trawangan! the location was perfect, right across the road from the beach. the rooms were lovely and the dorms had only 3 beds, which was great. Everything was very clean and the staff made our stay unforgettable. Special shoutout to Riska and Dan for their amazing hospitality. the pool and lounge areas were fantastic, with plenty of activities each night. We also enjoyed the open-bar happy hour and the cheap food menu. Mad Monkey is definitely one of the top hostels on the island for us.
