We loved the old-world ambience of the castle, with its spacious rooms and separate sitting areas. The working gas fire in the fireplace created a cosy atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the entertainment in the bar added a nice touch.

This hotel truly made our Christmas experience memorable! the rooms were beautifully decorated and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. the location of the hotel was perfect, offering stunning views of the surrounding area. the food was delicious and the service at the restaurant was exceptional. We particularly enjoyed the special Christmas dinner and the festive decorations throughout the hotel. Additionally, the staff organized fun activities for guests, such as caroling and a visit from Santa Claus. we had a fantastic stay and highly recommend this hotel for a Christmas getaway.

One minor issue we had during our stay was the water in the bathtub, which had a slight discoloration that took some getting used to. However, this did not detract from the overall experience.

The New Year experience at this hotel was amazing! the complimentary welcome drinks and the lively entertainment were definitely the highlights of our stay. the hotel was also located in a picturesque setting, surrounded by beautiful scenery and offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We also appreciated the attention to detail and the personal service provided by the staff. From the complimentary photo at dinner to the flag of our nationality, every small touch made our stay even more memorable.

I will definitely be returning to this unique property in Clifden. The rooms, shared areas, and location were all exceptional. The staff and owners were incredibly kind and involved, sharing stories of the hotel's history. Their dedication to making the experience amazing was evident. We loved the spacious room with a turreted balcony and stunning views of the grounds. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the meet and greet champagne reception was a nice touch. The breakfast had a huge variety of choices and the orange juice was delicious. The location was perfect, only a short walk from the center of Clifden.
