We recently stayed at a wonderful 4-star hotel in a lovely setting. The location was perfect for us, with easy access to nearby shops and restaurants. The staff here were exceptional, always friendly, helpful, and polite. The hotel was beautifully presented, with tasteful decor and well-equipped rooms. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the linen was of excellent quality. The food was a highlight of our stay, with fresh and delicious dishes prepared with flair and attention to detail. From breakfast to dinner, every meal was a superior dining experience. We can't wait to return to this amazing place.

Our Christmas stay was really pleasant. the hotel was beautifully decorated, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We particularly loved the location, which was near a fantastic park with plenty of activities for families. the food was amazing, and we enjoyed the comfortable and clean room provided.

The restaurant portion sizes could be improved, as the food was quite tasty but too small. It would also have been nice if the hotel had an ice machine available.

Some guests may find the breakfast service a bit lacking, with a need to wave down the waitress for coffee, tea, and toast refills.

We loved the cozy atmosphere and the bar with its fascinating historical decor. The food and drinks were amazing, and the value for money was unbeatable.

As backpackers, we loved the first-class food and service at Avalon House. The staff, especially Trish and Jane, were accommodating and made us feel right at home. The boutique style of the hotel created a retreat-like atmosphere. The location was excellent, with easy access to the Discovery Park on foot and a short drive to Kilkenny City. The hotel itself was luxurious and welcoming, with beautiful decor throughout. We also enjoyed dining at the Little Jim's outdoor/indoor bar, surrounded by stunning surroundings. We have already booked another stay later in the year.

The minute we walked into Avalon House, we immediately felt at home. The staff greeted us with warm smiles and were incredibly friendly throughout our stay. The room was spotless, clearly showing that the hotel takes cleanliness seriously. The bed was so comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. We were also impressed by the delicious breakfast, with a range of cooked options to choose from. Although there weren't many healthy options, we still enjoyed our meal. The newly renovated hotel had a lovely decor, adding to the overall pleasant ambiance. The location was perfect for exploring the nearby Discovery Park, which was a highlight of our trip. We also appreciated the quietness of the hotel at night, ensuring a peaceful stay.

During our stay, the air-conditioning in the hotel was broken, resulting in a hot room at night. We had to rely on a fan, but as we had a small child with us, we couldn't open the window fully.
